Has it been that long??

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month and a half since my last post on the house. Well, we moved in after a few weeks in a trailer out front--not as bad as it sounds. We no longer have the trailer and are settling in. We are loving the house and all the space and the neighborhood. It's great to be so close to family and new friends. I took a few pics of downstairs. I'll post some more of the upstairs later. Madelyn was sleeping when I took the opportunity to take these. Can't wait to see many of you at our 'housewarming' in another week or so.

wow...looks a bit different now. This is when we had the foundation dug

Here is the foundation

There are lots of new things going on at the house right now. I just need to picture it all. Hopefully this week I'll get shots of the progress from the last couple weeks. Here are a couple of the master bathroom vanity.

the water is beginning to flow

The work on the plumbing fixtures has begun. Jeremy worked all weekend in the extreme heat (no a/c yet--we are so spoiled) and put in many of the the finish plumbing fixtures.

downstairs bath. This is the bathroom that I spent many hours picking out the right fixtures and cabinet. We still need a mirror and accessories, but it looks just like I pictured so far.

Kid's bathroom. They already laid claim to which sink was "theirs".
Master Shower. One of the many advantages of having a plumber for a husband. We have knobs and shower heads and sprayers EVERYWHERE!! He stopped at nothing--notice the second shower head coming from the ceiling. Hopefully the water pressure can withstand this shower.
Great job, Honey...it looks amazing!!!

More work on the house this weekend

The exterior is almost finished being painted and they are working on the inside. Only about a month or so left until we get to move in...I can't believe it.

One of the many perks of having Jeremy's hook-ups. The painter, a friend of Jeremy's, thought it would be funny to display the colors we wanted. He labeled the pink one as the exterior accent and master bedroom color. Don't worry...we wouldn't dream of it.
Jeremy extended the pump house and it looks amazing. We wanted to incorporate the well into the pump house. He did an awesome job.

We have a new pet...a pair of sparrows. We don't think they have any eggs yet.
This is the exterior painted the colors I picked. I was very skeptical at first, but it dried the color I wanted in most lights...in some parts of the day it looks a bit pink...it's not what I envisioned, but Madelyn loves it--it's her favorite color.
They still have a bit to do, but it's looking good so far!!!

More current pics

This is the current progress on the house so far. All the tile is almost done, they just have to grout. The millwork and finish carpentry is just about complete as well. The handrail has to go up along with the stair ballusters and then it's time to paint again.

Madelyn in front of her closet now that the shelves are in
Carson's closet--of course he didn't want to be in the picture
Front door-still has to be trimmed out and stained
Office doors--still have to be stained as well
